How to Export Diagrams as Images in Astah Professional and Astah UML?

Locating the Image Export menu and supported formats

If you are looking in the File menu, you will not find the image export settings. In Astah Professional and Astah UML, the export functionality is located under the Tools menu.

How to Export

  1. Open the Diagram: Ensure the diagram you want to export is currently active in the editor.

  2. Navigate to Export: Go to Tools > Export Image.

  3. Select Export Type:

    • Current Diagram: Exports only the diagram currently displayed in the main window.

    • Multiple Diagrams: Opens a selection list allowing you to batch-export several diagrams at once.

  4. Choose Format: Select your preferred file type (PNG, JPEG, EMF, or SVG).

  5. Save: Choose your destination folder and click Save.
