Operating Astah via AI services, custom apps, or plug-ins

Guidelines for using Astah with external applications and third-party integrations.

You may integrate and operate Astah through AI services, external applications, or custom plug-ins, provided you adhere to the following safety and licensing guidelines.

Permitted Use

  • Personal/Internal Use: You may use these services to operate Astah only if you hold a valid license and the use is strictly for your own purposes.

Prohibited Use (EULA Article 3)

To remain compliant with the End-User License Agreement, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Operating Others' Licenses: You are not permitted to operate an Astah instance owned or used by another person (this includes referring to or editing their models).

  • Shared Environments: You may not publish or provide a platform/environment that allows third parties to use Astah through your integration.

  • Unlicensed Access: Any activity that allows unlicensed third parties to access Astah functionality may be regarded as a violation of Article 3 (Prohibited Use) of the EULA.

Guidelines for Developers

If you are releasing external programs or plug-ins, you must:

  1. Manage Access: Ensure your tool does not bypass Astah’s licensing mechanism.

  2. Inform Users: Clearly notify your users that a valid Astah license is required to use the integration to prevent unauthorized use.
