Can I renew support if it expired a year ago?
Guidelines for renewing support periods that have been expired for over a year.
Yes. You can still renew your support even if it has been expired for a significant amount of time.
However, because a Support Renewal License extends the support period from the previous expiration date (not from the date of purchase), you may need to purchase multiple licenses to bring your account up to date.
Renewal Requirements
The number of renewal licenses required depends on how long your support has been inactive:
-
Expired < 1 year: 1 Support Renewal License required.
-
Expired > 1 year but < 2 years: 2 Support Renewal Licenses required.
-
General Rule: You must purchase one license for every year (or fraction thereof) that has passed since expiration.
Example: If your support expired 18 months ago, you must purchase two Support Renewal Licenses to bridge the gap and reach a current, active status.
Version Compatibility
When renewing, ensure that your new support end-date covers the Release Date of the specific version of Astah Professional you wish to use.
-
You can use any version of Astah released before or during your active support period.
-
To check release dates for specific versions, please refer to our Release Notes.
