How to set a Faculty Site License to Astah?

Activating Astah using a license file provided by your institution.

If you have received a license for Astah through your faculty, you do not typically need to register it on the ChangeVision Members Site yourself. Instead, you can apply the license file directly within the Astah application.

Supported License Files

Depending on the product your faculty provides, you should have received one of the following files:

  • astah_faculty_license.xml: Used for Astah Professional

  • astah_faculty_sysml.lic: Used for Astah SysML

  • astah_faculty_system_safety.lic: Used for Astah System Safety

How to Set the License Key

  1. Launch the Astah application that matches your license type.

  2. Go to the top menu and select [Help] > [License].

  3. Click on [Set License Key].

  4. A file browser will open. Navigate to and select the license file you received from your teacher or institution.

  5. Click [OK]. Your license should now be active.
