How to transfer an Astah license to another user within the same company

If you are within your active license support period, you can transfer your license to another member of your organization. This process ensures the new user is properly registered and receives their own license file.

Prerequisites

• Your license must be under an active support period.

• New user must have access to your ChangeVision Members account.

How to transfer license

1. Current license owner logs into ChangeVision Members
2. Select [My Licenses] from left menu
3. Click on [Apply for license transfer] from the drop-down menu of your target license.
   
4. Fill out the required information for the new licensee.
   • Name of new user
   • Email address of new user
   • Reason of license transfer
     
     
5. Once the application is approved:
   • The new licensee will receive an email containing their new license file and instructions.
   • The former licensee must immediately stop using the software and discard the license file:
     • astah_professional_license.xml(If you are using Astah Professional)
     • astah_uml_license.xml (If you are using Astah UML)
     • license.lic (If you are using Astah SysML or Astah System Safety)
